Hi! We’re Adaora and Karishma, the creative minds behind Z-Space, a vibrant hub for creativity nestled in the heart of Lagos, Nigeria. Our mission at Z-Space is simple: to empower and inspire. We believe that everyone has a story to tell, a vision to share, and a talent to nurture.
That’s why we’ve created a space where creativity knows no bounds. Z-Space is more than just a physical space—it’s a community where like-minded individuals come together to collaborate, share ideas, and support each other on their creative journey.
Z-Space offers a diverse range of programs designed to equip our community with the skills they need to thrive in today’s fast-paced world.
Last year, we finally accelerated our vision of building a physical space to encompass all our efforts in the creative sphere.
We made sacrifices, turning down opportunities in other aspects of our work and business to focus on bringing Z-Space to life.
From finding the perfect space by the beach, to meticulously designing every detail, shipping in fittings and furniture, and crafting engaging programming blueprints, we were all set to launch this month, on May 1, 2024.

Our journey however, took an unexpected turn with recent tragic events...
Just as we were on the brink of launching our dream space, Adaora was struck by the sudden loss of her brother on April 26, 2024. His passing has left us all reeling, grappling with grief and disbelief.
To compound the heartache, we received devastating news the same week: the space housing Z-Space, our beautiful beachfront location at Sol Oniru by Boxmall, has been marked for demolition as part of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway .

As we dismantle our once-beautiful space before the bulldozers arrive, it’s a heartbreaking task.
The immense creativity, time, effort, money, labor, and resources that went into its creation weigh heavily on us.
Unlike some of the media pieces floating around, to be clear, we are NOT going to be getting any compensation for this.

We have the vision, the passion, and the community—all of it is here. We’ve developed the blueprints for our programming and have everything in place, except for one crucial element:

With the loss incurred from dismantling our old space, we’re facing an uphill battle.
While we have beautiful furniture and fittings, it may not be enough to fully equip a new space. There’s a significant financial burden involved in moving into a new space and making the necessary adjustments, not to mention the soaring rents due to the current economy in Nigeria.
